Far from the din and confusion of our complex daily lives, Camp Unalayee offers our campers a unique opportunity to live simply with nature. In this enriching environment children learn more about themselves, their limits and what truly matters.
Our private 400 plus acre camp is located in the heart of Northern California's Trinity Alps Wilderness Area. At an elevation of 6,400 ft., our central living area is in a beautiful alpine basin surrounded by rugged ridges and peaks. Daily camp life is organized around our alpine lake and year-round creek. Dozens of gem-like lakes and clear streams are within easy hiking distance and make great destinations for simple dayhikes, swimming, fishing and multi-day trail hikes.
Although our location provides seclusion and intimacy with nature, we are close to modern facilities for supplies and other services. Our private gated road provides quick access to the state highway and the nearby towns and cities. This excellent combination of isolation and proximity to essential services is perfect for a summer camp that can make no compromise when considering the safety and security of our campers and staff.
